David firmly believes there is no one methodology which suits all singers.

Students are guided through multi-modal approaches and speaking to the whole brain - methods informed by the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) amongst many other techniques. This teaches various ways to raise and lower the laryngeal position, change the shape of the pharynx and alter breathing/support structures to give the correct sound and style appropriate to various Musical Theatre, opera and contemporary vocal requirements.

This is approached through both technique and repertoire selection and experience of 23 years of singing professionally.

He has presented for ANATS, National Academy of Music, National Theatre Drama School, and many schools across Victoria.

David has adjudicated eisteddfods, House Choral Competitions and solo vocal competitions across Melbourne.

He has also presented to music educators as a Music Theatre and choral specialist at Choral Reading Days/Sing It, Stage It for Hal Leonard/MTI.
